Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to keep pace with the top two when they take on Liverpool at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.

Here is the side we think Mauricio Pochettino will select for the game:

Goalkeeper: Hugo Lloris proved his class once again with a superb performance against Real Madrid so he’s certain to keep his place with Michel Vorm on the bench.

Defence: Pochettino has been boosted by the return to fitness of Ben Davies so the Welshman is expected to get an immediate recall after overcoming illness.

Danny Rose made his long-awaited comeback with a late cameo at Madrid but he’s still not fit enough to start so Davies should start in the left wing-back role against Liverpool tomorrow.

That means Jan Vertonghen will move across to start in defence alongside Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld while Kieran Trippier should come in for Serge Aurier on the right.

Midfield: Spurs have been handed a double injury blow with the news that Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama have both suffered setbacks in their recoveries.

Dembele has only just recovered from one injury when he picked up a fresh concern in midweek so he won’t feature tomorrow while Wanyama has been sent to see a specialist as he’s struggling to overcome a knee injury.

Therefore, Eric Dier is expected to move back in to midfield alongside Harry Winks – who had another impressive outing against Madrid.

Attack: Dele Alli is back in contention after serving a European suspension in midweek so he’s expected to come in to the attack tomorrow afternoon.

Fernando Llorente should make way after Pochettino surprisingly handed him a start against Madrid with Christian Eriksen once again supporting Harry Kane in attack.

Erik Lamela is closing-in on his long-awaited comeback but this game will come too soon while Moussa Sissoko may have the make-do with a place on the bench along with Heung-min Son.

Here is how I think Spurs will line-up:
