Arsene Wenger has confirmed a double injury boost ahead of our clash with Swansea with two players set to return over the coming week

Arsenal will look to keep the pressure on the top four with another win when we entertain Swansea City at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.

Ahead of the game, Arsene Wenger has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s provided a team news and injury update.

The Gunners boss was pleased to confirm that we didn’t suffer any fresh concerns during last weekend’s win at Everton while the second-string also came through the League Cup win over Norwich City unscathed.

Wenger did confirm that Shkodran Mustafi is still nursing a hamstring injury that he sustained while playing for Germany during the international break earlier this month.

Danny Welbeck is also still on the sidelines as the striker is working his way back to full fitness after being forced off against Watford two weeks ago with a groin injury.

However, the manager did have a positive update on Calum Chambers as the centre-back is back in full training on Monday as he looks to make his comeback having aggravated a hip problem against Doncaster last month.

David Ospina Arsenal

David Ospina is also ready to make a swift return to action as the Colombian international could play in our Europa League clash with Red Star Belgrade next week after shaking off a minor groin problem.

Wenger told Arsenal.com:

on the general team news…
Well, basically the squad that was available against Everton is available and, for the rest, decisions will be made if they will come in or not. I will make that decision tomorrow [Friday]. But overall everybody is available [from last weekend], and everybody who played on Tuesday night is available as well.

on the absentees…
The only players who are not completely back are Mustafi and Welbeck. Calum Chambers is back in full training on Monday and Ospina has a chance to be available against Belgrade. He will not be available for Saturday.

So the Arsenal squad is in very healthy shape heading in to the weekend action as we look to secure a win that would see us keep the pressure on the top four with only goal difference separating us from fourth-placed Chelsea.
