Adam Lallana was among a 23-man Liverpool squad that flew-out to Spain this afternoon ahead of tomorrow night’s Champions League clash with Sevilla.

Lallana is yet to feature this season due to a long-term thigh injury but returned to full training earlier this month and was close to being involved against Southampton at the weekend.

Jurgen Klopp decided not to risk the midfielder against his former club on Saturday afternoon as Liverpool ran out 3-0 victors at Anfield thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah [2] and Philippe Coutinho.

However, Lallana has a chance to make his first appearance of the campaign as he’s been included in the 23-man squad that flew-out to Spain this afternoon ahead of the Sevilla game.

Danny Ings could also make his first appearances of the season as he too has been included in the travelling party after impressing for the U23’s in recent weeks.

However, there was no sign of Joel Matip as the defender has been left back at Melwood to continue his rehabilitation from a thigh injury that forced him to miss the Southampton game.

Loris Karius is on the plane and he’s expected to be recalled in goal tomorrow while the likes of Joe Gomez, James Milner, Daniel Sturridge, Emre Can and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are also pushing for game-time.

Liverpool take on Sevilla knowing victory would secure their place in the knockout stages of the competition with a game to spare so Klopp will be desperate to bring home all three points.

The confirmed 23-man squad as per Liverpoolfc.com is:

Karius, Wijnaldum, Lovren, Milner, Firmino, Coutinho, Salah, Gomez, Henderson, Sturridge, Grujic, Klavan, Moreno, Mane, Lallana, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mignolet, Can, Robertson, Ings, Solanke, Ward, Alexander-Arnold.
