Tottenham will be looking to finish the Champions League group stages on a high when they take on APOEL at Wembley on Wednesday night.

Ahead of the game, Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s offered a team news and injury update.

The Spurs boss confirmed that he’ll once again be without the services of Toby Alderweireld as the centre-back continues to recover from a serious hamstring injury that’s set to keep him out until at least Christmas.

Victor Wanyama is also unavailable as he’s still nursing a knee injury that’s hampered him so far this season but Pochettino is hopeful the midfielder will be in contention towards the end of the month.

Erik Lamela isn’t eligible for selection as he wasn’t included in Tottenham’s squad for the group stages of the Champions League so the Argentinean international will have the night off tomorrow.

Pochettino is set to make some changes to his starting eleven as he looks to rest a number of key men ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash with Stoke City.

Hugo Lloris, Christian Eriksen, Eric Dier, Kieran Trippier and Harry Kane were all absent from training this morning indicating they will be rested for the game tomorrow.

However, Pochettino says Dele Alli is fresh having missed the first three Champions League group games though suspension so the 21-year-old will start against APOEL on Wednesday night.

Youngsters Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, Ben Amos and Kazaiah Sterling are expected to be named in the first team squad and will be hoping to get a chance to impress at some point.
