Manchester City will look to tighten their grip at the top of the table when they take on Tottenham at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening.

Here is the side I think Pep Guardiola will select for the game:

Goalkeeper: Ederson is almost certain to retain his place between the sticks as the young keeper has proven to be an excellent signing since joining City in the summer.

Defence: The hosts will have to make-do without skipper Vincent Kompany as he’s set to miss out with an on-going muscle problem so he’ll remain on the sidelines with John Stones who’s also out with a hamstring injury.

Nicolas Otamendi has been a rock at the back for City this season so he should continue in the back four while Eliaquim Mangala performed well alongside the Argentinean during the win at Swansea so he should keep his place.

Kyle Walker is set to get a recall against his former club after being rested in midweek with Danilo making way while Fabian Delph should once again start on the left of the back four.

Midfield: Fernandinho managed to avoid a fifth booking against Swansea so the Belgian star is free to start in the holding role which means Ilkay Gundogan is likely to have to make-do with a place on the bench.

Kevin De Bruyne continued his fine form with another goal in midweek while David Silva was also instrumental against Swansea so the duo should continue in the middle of the park.

Attack: Bernado Silva scored twice at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday night but I think we might see Leroy Sane recalled to the starting eleven after being given a breather last time out.

Raheem Sterling has been in excellent form this season so no doubt the England international will keep his place in attack with Sergio Aguero expected to lead the line up front meaning Gabriel Jesus may remain on the bench.

Here is how I think we’ll see City line-up:
