Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month Award alongside players from Chelsea, Tottenham, Manchester United and Manchester City.

Salah has proven to be a superb signing for Liverpool since arriving from Roma in the summer and he continued his sensational form last month after providing 3 assists and five league goals to take his tally to 23 in all competitions.

The Egyptian international is second in the league goal-scorer charts behind Tottenham hitman Harry Kane who took his total to 18 and 24 in all competitions with 8 goals last month. His goal haul included consecutive hat-tricks against Burnley and Southampton so it’s no surprise the Spurs striker has also been nominated for the POTM award.

Salah will also be up against Liverpool team mate Roberto Firmino after he chipped in with 4 goals and 2 assists in December while Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso is also in the running after scoring 3 times for the Blues last month.

Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard has been nominated after providing 2 assists and 6 goals throughout December, including a double during United’s win over Arsenal at the Emirates.

Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi is also among those nominated after continuing his fine form last month while Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez and West Ham’s Marko Arnautovic complete the list of nominees.

Fans can cast their vote until midnight on January 8th with the winner announced on the 12th.
