Manchester United will be hoping to cut Manchester City’s lead at the top of the table with a win when they take on Stoke at Old Trafford this evening.

Jose Mourinho is boosted by the return to fitness of Antonio Valencia as he returns at right-back with Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Luke Shaw making up the back four.

Nemanja Matic joins Paul Pogba in midfield with Jesse Lingard and Juan Mata keeping their places in attack. Anthony Martial is passed fit to start after recovering from a knock while Romelu Lukaku leads the line up front.

Marcus Rashford, Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini are named on the bench but there is no room for Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the 18-man squad.
