Balague: “Massive Club” Ready To Hijack Man Utd’s Move For Arsenal Star Sanchez

The January transfer window is now open so clubs are working hard trying to strengthen their squads for the second half of the season and put deals in place for the summer. Today, could another club scupper Man Utd’s move for Alexis Sanchez?

Sky Sports pundit Guillem Balague claims a ‘massive club’ are ready to hijack Manchester United’s move for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez if a deal isn’t concluded swiftly.

Sanchez is expected to leave the Emirates this month and United emerged as front-runners to sign the attacker after Manchester City withdrew their interest in signing the Arsenal star.

It’s been widely reported that United have agreed terms with Sanchez and are willing to pay £35m for his signature but Arsenal are demanding Henrikh Mkhitaryan in exchange.

The Armenian international’s agent, Mino Raiola, told Sky Sports earlier this week that a deal was still a long way from completion and that Mkhitaryan is in no rush to make a decision over his future.

The Mirror claim that Mkhitaryan is holding up the proposed swap deal as he’s demanding a huge pay rise from Arsenal as well as a ‘golden handshake’ from United in order to leave Old Trafford.

Raiola is obviously trying to get his client the best possible deal but it seems the delay could scupper the entire swap deal as a mystery club is waiting to pounce for Sanchez if the move to United isn’t completed soon.

Well-known football expert Guillem Balague has urged United to get the deal done after telling Sky Sports late last night that another ‘massive club’ is ready to hijack their deal for Sanchez.

Listen to him here:

Balague didn’t divulge the name of the mysterious club but he did say it wasn’t Chelsea and later confirmed on Twitter that it also wasn’t Liverpool.

It remains to be seen who he’s talking about but it’s likely to be a foreign club so it could be Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Juventus or perhaps even Bayern Munich as they’ve all been linked with Sanchez.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming days but I have a feeling we’ll still see Sanchez move to United – the big question is whether it will be as a swap for Mkhitaryan or just a straight cash deal.

By dismissing various clubs,he is virtually telling us this is rubbish. How many clubs among the ones deemed as possibilities are willing to pay the wages that Manchester United are offering.I’ll tell you.Zero
