Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham are all in talks with Gareth Bale about a sensational return to the Premier League this summer, according to reports in Spain via the Express.

Bale made his name at Tottenham before joining Madrid in a then world-record deal in 2013 and he’s continued to forge a reputation as one of the best attackers in the world during his time in Spain.

The 28-year-old has provided 76 goals and 56 assists in his 167 appearances so far to help Madrid win a whole host of honours including 3 Champions League trophies.

However, Bale’s future at the Bernabeu has been cast in doubt over the past few months as Madrid are reportedly growing increasingly frustrated with his constant injury problems.

Bale was restricted to just 27 appearances in all competitions last season and has started just 7 La Liga games so far this campaign due to a variety of injuries and Madrid chiefs are reportedly tired of the amount of time he spends on the sidelines.

The situation has led to speculation that Madrid are ready to cash-in on the Welsh international at the end of the season and understandably it looks like there is a queue of clubs ready to bring him back to the Premier League.

The Express are citing a report from Don Balon that claims Man Utd, Liverpool and Tottenham are already in talks with Bale’s camp about a sensational move next summer.

United signed Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal yesterday but the report says Jose Mourinho is still hoping to sign Bale as they look to build a squad capable of challenging Man City for the title.

Liverpool are in the market for another attacker to fill the void left by Philippe Coutinho and it seems Jurgen Klopp is also eyeing an ambitious move to lure Bale back to England this summer.

Tottenham would no doubt jump at the chance to resign the Welshman and Bale could be tempted by a return to north London to help lead his former team out at their new stadium next season.

It’s certainly an intriguing situation and it will be interesting to see how things develop over the coming months but I would love to see Bale back in the Premier League one day so hopefully United, Liverpool or Spurs are able to get a deal agreed.
