Liverpool will look to put their FA Cup disappointment behind them and get back to winning ways when they take on Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.

Jurgen Klopp has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s given reporters the latest team news and injury updates ahead of the trip to the John Smith’s Stadium.

The Reds boss confirmed that he has no fresh injury problems to contend with following Liverpool’s frustrating 3-2 defeat to West Bromwich Albion in the FA Cup on Saturday.

However, Klopp will continue to be without the services of Adam Lallana as the midfielder has been ruled out once again due to an ongoing muscle problem.

Lallana has endured a torrid campaign that was plagued by a serious hamstring injury and he made just seven appearances in all competitions before picking up the injury last week.

The England international sat out the FA Cup defeat to West Brom at the weekend and there have been reports recently suggesting he could be facing up to six week on the sidelines.

However, Klopp says that while Lallana is certain to miss tomorrow’s clash with Huddersfield he has a chance to be back in contention for the visit of Tottenham on Sunday afternoon.

He told the LiverpoolEcho.co.uk:

“He’s not ready for Huddersfield. Medical department told me no chance for West Brom, no chance for Huddersfield and a chance for Tottenham.

“After Tottenham for sure, but before Tottenham I don’t know exactly.”

It will be a relief for Liverpool that Lallana’s injury isn’t serious but he’ll still be a big miss against Huddersfield tomorrow night so Klopp will be hoping he manages to recover in time to face Spurs.

Jordan Henderson and Alberto Moreno made successful returns to action at the weekend but Ragnar Klavan remains out with a muscle injury while Nathaniel Clyne is also still sidelined by a long-term back problem.
