Real Madrid have agreed to sell Manchester United and Tottenham target Gareth Bale if an £80m offer is put on the table this summer, according to reports in Spain via the Express.

Bale forged a reputation as one of the best attackers in the world during his time at Tottenham which earned a big-money move to Madrid during the summer of 2013.

The 28-year-old has provided 76 goals and 56 assists in his 169 appearances to help Madrid win a whole host of top honours including 3 Champions League trophies in the last four years.

However, Bale’s future at the Bernabeu has been called in to question in recent months as Madrid chiefs are reportedly growing increasingly frustrated with his constant injury problems.

The Welsh international played just 27 times last season and has started just 9 La Liga games so far this campaign due to a number of injury issues and it seems Madrid are now ready to cash-in.

The Express are citing a report from Diario Gol that claims the European champions are ready to sell this summer and a return to the Premier League is the most likely outcome.

The Spanish outlet says a meeting recently took place between Madrid chiefs and Bale’s representatives where is was agreed the attacker could leave if an £80m bid was put on the table this summer.

Manchester United have long been linked with a move for Bale while an emotional return to Tottenham has also been touted in some corners of the media and the Daily Star reported last month that the Welshman was ready to snub his former club in favour of playing under Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

United certainly have the money available to pay Bale’s reported £80m price tag and Mourinho is being tipped to further strengthen his attacking options in the summer despite signing Alexis Sanchez in January.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming months but I expect we’ll hear a lot more speculation regarding Bale’s future ahead of the summer as he continues to be linked with United and Spurs.
