Manchester United will be looking to book their place in the quarter finals of the FA Cup when they take on Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday evening.

Here is the team I think Jose Mourinho will pick for the game:

Goalkeeper: The United boss has vowed to field a strong team but I still expect David De Gea to be rested with Sergio Romero recalled between the sticks.

Defence: With a huge Champions League trip to Sevilla coming up next Wednesday I think we’ll see Mourinho rest some of his defenders with Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young all likely to be left out.

Marcos Rojo could get a recall in the middle of defence while Luke Shaw should get another chance to impress at left-back. Matteo Darmian has been restricted to rare appearances in the cup and he could come in at right-back tomorrow.

Eric Bailly has been declared fit and available for selection but I don’t think the Ivorian will start just yet as he’s only just resumed full training following three months out so Victor Lindelof could start.

Midfield: Paul Pogba came under criticism for his performance during the defeat at Newcastle last weekend but Mourinho has confirmed he will feature tomorrow. The Frenchman has been deployed in a deeper role lately but we could see him further forward against Huddersfield.

Nemanja Matic should be rested ahead of the Sevilla game so Scott McTominay could come in while Michael Carrick may get a rare run-out as Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini have been ruled out through injury.

Attack: Marcus Rashford has been ruled out after failing to recover from the muscle injury that kept him out of the Newcastle game while Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still working his way back to full fitness.

Therefore, Romelu Lukaku may have to once again lead the line up front with Alexis Sanchez expected to keep his place on the left side of attack. Mourinho may be tempted to rest the Chilean international but he rarely needs a day off so I think Sanchez will play.

Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard may be rested ahead of the trip to Spain next week so Juan Mata should be recalled in attack this weekend.

Here is how we think United will line-up:
