Dates Confirmed After Man Utd & Chelsea FA Cup Games Are Chosen For Live TV

The FA have confirmed the dates for FA Cup quarter final games involving Manchester United and Chelsea after they were chosen to be aired on live TV.

The FA have confirmed the dates and kick off times for FA Cup quarter final games involving Manchester United and Chelsea after they were chosen to be aired on live TV.

United booked their place in the last-8 of the competition with a 2-0 victory over Huddersfield last weekend and they’ve been rewarded with a home tie against Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Championship club will head to Old Trafford on Saturday 17 March with the game being shown live on BT Sport 2 and kicking off at 7.45pm, so it’s going to be a late journey back to the south coast for the visiting supporters.

Chelsea eased in to the quarter finals of the FA Cup with a 4-0 victory over Hull City and the Blues will now take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday 18 March, live on BBC One, kicking off at 4pm.

The dates and kick off times for the two remaining quarter finals will be announced once the fifth round replays are concluded with the winner of Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea set to play host to Rochdale or Tottenham. Wigan and Southampton will contest the last quarter final.

Here are the details of the first two live TV games, as per thefa.com:

Manchester United v Brighton & Hove Albion
7.45pm, Saturday 17 March
Live on BT Sport 2

Leicester City v Chelsea
4.30pm, Sunday 18 March
Live on BBC One
