Arsenal got back to winning ways in the Premier League after beating Watford 3-0 at the Emirates this afternoon.

Arsenal started brightly and opened the scoring in the 8th minute when Shkodran Mustafi headed home from a Mesut Ozil free-kick to make it 1-0.

We doubled our lead in the 59th minute when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang latched on to a through-ball from Henrikh Mkhitaryan, rounded the keeper and slotted in to the net for 2-0.

We gifted Watford a chance to reduce the deficit just a minute later when Ainsley Maitland-Niles gave away a penalty. However, Petr Cech saved Troy Denney’s spot kick to maintain our 2-0 lead.

The three points were secured in the 77th minute when Aubameyang teed-up Mkhitaryan and the Armenian international made it 3-0 thanks to some poor goalkeeping.

We eased to victory and while we remain sixth in the table, we’ve reduced the deficit on Chelsea to eight points while Tottenham are ten ahead with a game in hand.
