Man Utd Ready To Trump Chelsea With Lucrative Offer For £70m Brazilian Star

The transfer window is closed but managers are working hard on their plans for the summer so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Man Utd are ready to make their move for Alex Sandro….

Manchester United are ready to trump Chelsea by offering £70m-rated Juventus star Alex Sandro a lucrative contract to make the move to Old Trafford this summer, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Sandro joined Juve from Porto in the summer of 2015 and has developed in to one of the best left-backs in Europe having helped the Turin club land consecutive Serie A titles.

The Brazilian international attracted interest from Chelsea last summer after Antonio Conte identified him as the man he wanted to challenge Marcos Alonso in the left wing-back position.

A move failed to materialise and Sandro ended up staying in Turin but the Manchester Evening News claim the Blues are preparing a fresh swoop for the full-back this summer.

However, Chelsea will face stiff competition as the report says Man Utd are ready to tempt Sandro with a lucrative double-your-money contract offer if he agrees to move to Old Trafford instead.

Jose Mourinho needs to sign a replacement for Ashley Young at left-back as Luke Shaw has failed to hold down a regular place and it seems the United boss has identified Sandro as a long-term solution.

The M.E.N claims that Mourinho has sent his scouts to watch the South American on several occasions this season and is ready to formalise his interest ahead of the summer.

The newspaper reports that Juventus want around £70m for the 27-year-old’s signature and United are willing to pay that kind of money to get their hands on Sandro ahead of the likes of Chelsea.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming months but I think Sandro would be an excellent signing if United or Chelsea were able to lure him to the Premier League this summer.
