Liverpool Agree Personal Terms With £50m-Rated International Star

Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Wilfred Ndidi ahead of a potential summer move from Leicester but are yet to settle on a fee for the midfielder

The transfer window is closed but managers are working hard on their plans for the summer so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Liverpool are linked with Wilfred Ndidi…

Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Wilfred Ndidi ahead of a potential summer move from Leicester City but are yet to settle on a fee for the midfielder, according to a report by TeamTalk.

Ndidi has been hugely impressive since joining Leicester from Genk in January 2017 with the tough-tackling midfielder starting in all 30 of their Premier League games so far this campaign.

The Nigerian international is also a regular with his country having earned 14 caps so far and it seems he’s caught the attention of clubs in the upper echelons of the Premier League.

Reports last month suggested Liverpool have identified Ndidi as a key summer transfer target and TeamTalk are now reporting that the Reds have agreed personal terms with the midfielder.

Jurgen Klopp is in the market for midfield reinforcements as Emre Can is out of contract in June and is yet to agree terms over an extension amid speculation over a move to Juventus.

Naby Keita will arrive from RB Leipzig in July but it seems Klopp wants another central midfielder to strengthen his ranks and Ndidi has now emerged as a likely candidate.

Guinean journalist Alpha Balde claims personal terms have been agreed with Ndidi over a move to Anfield but Liverpool are yet to agree a fee with Leicester for the midfielders signature.

Balde is quoted as saying by TeamTalk:

“Ndidi approached by Liverpool. The player has agreed. It remains to agree with Leicester, who asks a lot.”

If true, then Liverpool have taken a huge step towards signing Ndidi but obviously they need to settle on a fee and the Mirror suggested recently that Leicester value him at around £50m.

We’ll have to wait and see if a deal can be agreed but I think Ndidi would be a superb addition to the Liverpool squad if Klopp could lure the 21-year-old to Merseyside this summer.
