4-3-2-1: Wenger To Make 4 Changes | Expected Arsenal XI vs CSKA Moscow

Arsenal take on CSKA Moscow at the Emirates on Thursday night. Here is the side think Arsene Wenger will select for the game:

David Ospina Arsenal

Arsenal will be looking to put one foot in the semi-finals of the Europa League when we take on CSKA Moscow at the Emirates on Thursday night.

Here is the side I think Arsene Wenger will select for the game:

Goalkeeper: Petr Cech has been declared fit after recovering from a minor groin injury that kept him out of the win over Stoke at the weekend but I think we’ll see David Ospina keep his place as he’s played in every round of the competition so far.

Defence: Wenger opted to rest Laurent Koscielny and his dodgy Achilles against the Potters on Sunday so no doubt the French international will be recalled tomorrow night.

Calum Chambers is the man set to make way despite putting in a solid display at the weekend with Koscielny coming in alongside Shkodran Mustafi in the middle of defence.

I don’t think we’ll see any other changes at the back so Nacho Monreal and Hector Bellerin should keep their places with the likes of Sead Kolasinac and Ainsley Maitland-Niles on the bench.

Midfield: Granit Xhaka is set for a recall in midfield after being given a rare afternoon off against Stoke so Mohamed Elneny is likely to drop out to be named among the substitutes.

Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey both came through the Stoke game unscathed at the weekend so they should keep their places in midfield against CSKA.

Alexandre Lacazette Arsenal

Attack: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang continued his fine start to life in England with his 5th goal in 6 games at the weekend but obviously he’s ineligible tomorrow night.

Danny Welbeck will be hoping to start after featuring in both legs against AC Milan in the previous round but Alexandre Lacazette is back in contention after recovering from a knee injury.

The Frenchman made his return with a goal-scoring display off the bench on Sunday and Wenger says he’s fit to start so I think we’ll see Lacazette leading the line up front.

Mesut Ozil should once again start in attack while Henrikh Mkhitaryan is expected to be recalled after being rested against Stoke. Alex Iwobi will therefore have to make do with a place among the subs.

Here is how I think we’ll see Arsenal line-up:
