Man Utd take on Bournemouth at Dean Court this evening. Here is a preview with the latest team news, line-ups and prediction

Manchester United will look to bounce back from their loss to West Brom when they take on Bournemouth at Dean Court this evening.

The Red Devils slumped to a hugely disappointing 1-0 defeat to the Premier League’s bottom side at Old Trafford on Sunday which has severely dented their hopes of finishing second.

Liverpool are now just one point behind in third following their win over Bournemouth so United need to win their game in hand tonight to move four points clear of their rivals.

Jose Mourinho has confirmed he plans to make changes and has challenged his players to prove themselves tonight and earn a place in the starting eleven for Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham.

Eddie Howe has also demanded a response from his squad after they lost heavily at Anfield last time out but the Cherries are still all-but safe for another season as they sit 11th in the table and 10 points clear of the relegation zone.

Team news

United have virtually a fully-fit squad to choose from as only goalkeeper Sergio Romero is missing through injury as he continues to recover from a knee injury.

Mourinho has strongly hinted he’s ready to leave the likes of Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez out of the team following their poor displays against West Brom while Juan Mata and Ander Herrera are also in danger of being axed.

Phil Jones, Eric Bailly, Marcos Rojo, Scott McTominay, Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are among those pushing for recalls.

Bournemouth will be without Junior Stanislas due to a knee injury while Adam Smith is also missing with his own knee complaint.

Expected line-ups

Predicted Score

Bournemouth 1-2 Man Utd: United were woeful at the weekend but I expect a response from the players tonight as they should be keen to impress ahead of the FA Cup semi-final. The Red Devils have won three and drawn one of their last four meetings with Bournemouth so they should be confident of getting a result on the south coast. I’m expecting a close game but feel United will do just enough to edge it.
