Manchester United are expected to wrap-up a stunning £50m deal to sign Alex Sandro after Juventus agreed to cash-in on the full-back this summer, according to a report by the Express.
Jose Mourinho is expected to be extremely active in the transfer market over the coming months as he looks to build a squad capable of competing with Manchester City next season.
A new left-back is a priority as Luke Shaw and Daley Blind are set to leave this summer while Ashley Young turns 33 in July so a long-term replacement is needed.
Sandro has emerged as a prime target with the Express reporting recently that United are working on a sensational £50m deal to sign the South American full-back this summer.
Juventus managed to hold on to Sandro when Chelsea attempted to lure him away 12 months ago but it looks like they’ve been forced to cash-in this time around.
The Express are citing a report from La Stampa that claims Juve are ready to offload a number of players to help raise funds for boss Max Allegri and they’ve agreed to do business with United over Sandro.
The Italian publication says a deal for the Brazilian is ‘definitely on’ and United are expected to complete the transfer in the coming days once the FA Cup final is out of the way.
United obviously have the financial muscle to pay the £50m but the report says they may include Matteo Darmian in any deal with the right-back tipped to join Juventus this summer.

Sandro has been one of the best full-backs in Italian football in recent years and helped Juve win a seventh consecutive title last weekend so I think he’d be an excellent signing if United can get this proposed deal over the line.
