The summer transfer deadline day has arrived and managers are working hard to secure last minute deals so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Man Utd and Tottenham are linked with Layvin Kurzawa…

Manchester United are trying to hijack Tottenham’s attempts to sign Layvin Kurzawa after holding talks with the £22m Paris Saint-Germain full-back, according to reports via the Metro.

Kurzawa came through the youth ranks at Monaco and developed a reputation as one of the best young defenders in French football to earn a big-money move to PSG in 2015 but his time at the Parc des Princes hasn’t gone to plan in recent years as he’s found himself in and out the starting eleven.

The Ligue 1 champions are ready to sell and the 25-year-old’s situation has alerted clubs here in the Premier League with the Metro claiming that Tottenham have been in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a potential £22m deal to sign the left-back.

Mauricio Pochettino has endured a frustrating summer as Tottenham are yet to make a single signing but they are active in the market and Kurzawa has been identified as a potential replacement for Danny Rose amid speculation he’ll be on the move this summer.

However, it looks like Spurs will face stiff competition as the Metro are citing a report from L’Equipe that claims Manchester United have now entered the race to sign Kurzawa during the closing hours of the window.

The French publication says United representatives have already met with Kurzawa’s camp to discuss a move to Old Trafford as Jose Mourinho looks to pull off a late swoop for the full-back.

Mourinho has vented his frustration as United’s lack of activity this summer and he’s been desperate to sign a centre-back with the likes of Harry Maguire, Toby Alderweireld, Yerry Mina and Jerome Boateng all linked.

However, left-back has also been a problem area for United as Ashley Young has been forced to deputise in recent seasons and with the England international now 33, Kurzawa could be viewed as the ideal long-term replacement.

I feel absolutely sick of the fact that teams like Manchester United and Mourinho are complaining about not signing players. At least you have signed someone. If Manchester City didn’t sign anyone there fair enough as you won the league by a large margin but they still bought players to freshen their squad. Yet we have a idiot chairman who not investing and wants to win trophies with a team that are clearly unable to, not good enough sending the wrong message to the fans and giving are rivals the upper hand if you don’t want to invest Levy sell up and let someone else who is willing to invest takeover.

It is absolutely crazy. I am actually embarrassed to be a Spurs fan at the moment. Can you imagine if we lose to the barcodes what will be said on the message board. The bald idiot had a real chance to make Spurs a realistic challenger for trophies this year, but looks like he has blown it. Surely the like of Harry, Christian and Deli cannot be happy with this situation? And as for Poch, well lets not even go there! Levy is a c*nt!
