Liverpool are ready to offload 7 players over the coming weeks as Jurgen Klopp looks to trim his squad after splashing around £170m on new signings this summer, according to reports via TeamTalk.

The Reds showed huge ambition in the transfer market this summer as they were the Premier League’s biggest spenders after splashing out a world-record fee on goalkeeper Alisson Becker as well as snapping-up Naby Keita, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri in big-money deals totaling around £170m.

The four new arrivals have certainly improved Liverpool’s starting eleven and fixed some problem areas in Klopp’s team so understandably supporters were delighted with their summer business when the transfer window slammed shut last week.

However, with teams in the Championship and across Europe still able to sign players until August 31st, Klopp has now turned his attention to trimming his squad and TeamTalk claim that 7 players have been made available for sale or loan.

Danny Ings has already been sold to Southampton but Goal, via TeamTalk, suggests that Ragnar Klavan is the latest player to be put up for sale as the centre-back has just one year left on his contract and Liverpool want to cash-in.

The Estonian international has struggled to hold down a regular place since arriving at Anfield in 2016 with Virgil van Dijk, Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez all ahead of him in the pecking order.

Klavan missed Liverpool’s opening weekend win over West Ham through injury but he’s unlikely to see much action this season so Liverpool are ready to cash-in before losing him for nothing in 12 months time.

The report says Simon Mignolet is also set for a permanent move away from Merseyside after falling down the pecking order following Alisson’s arrival as Loris Karius is expected to be retained as Klopp’s number two.

Attackers Divock Origi and Lazar Markovic are also on the transfer list with TeamTalk suggesting they could be heading to Turkey on permanent deals after failing to establish themselves at Liverpool.

Youngsters Pedro Chirivella, Sheyi Ojo and Marko Grujic are the final names expected to leave over the coming days but Liverpool may choose to loan them with a number of Championship clubs showing an interest.
