Arsenal legend and all-time record goal scorer Thierry Henry has named Dennis Bergkamp as the greatest player he has ever played with. Considering Henry has played alongside the likes of Messi and Zidane, that is some compliment for the Dutch Master.
During his exclusive interview with Sky Sports News, Henry was quizzed by presenter Georgie Thomson about who the best player he had ever played with was, and without a moments hesitation he said “Dennis Bergkamp”. Georgie then asked “no contest? Nobody else comes close?”, Henry replied with a clear; “No”.

Well you can’t argue with that. If Thierry says Dennis is better than all the others, he must be. He knows more about football than we ever will.

20-30 years from now, the success in the late ’90s-early’00s will be known as the Bergkamp Era, not the Wenger Era.
