Stevie G Injury Latest…..

By on April 3, 2011

After Saturday’s deeply frustrating loss to West Brom at the Hawthorns, Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish was asked about the fitness of captain Steven Gerrard:

“Steven was training yesterday and innocuously tried to turn with the ball and felt a sharp pain. Same injury but not the same thing. We’ll get him assessed and by the end of the week we’ll know better about everybody.”

Who knows if Gerrard would have started in the first team if he had not picked up another knock in training. The truth is his presence in midfield was sorely missed as Lucas and young Jay Spearing were overwhelmed by Roy Hodgson’s side, time after time.

We had a great chance to close the gap on Spurs, who only drew 0-0 with Wigan, but we blew it. With further injuries during the game to defenders Glen Johnson (muscle) and Daniel Agger (knee), we are really up against it now to finish any higher up the table than our current position of 6th. By the way Roy, how come you couldn’t get the best out of our team like you did with West Brom yesterday?

The reason you could not get the best out of Roy Hodgson is that you have too many big egos to listen to what he was saying and not enough quality to cope without following to his direction, end of!

how come hodgson couldnt get the best out of LFC players? LOOOOOOL why would you ask that question. most LFC fans are blind. its got nothing to do with Hodgson, its the players. the players LFC were using prior to Suarez and Carroll’s arrival were utter SH1T !
and even now, after the purchase of these 2 strikers, we lack PACE, IMAGINATION, a FOOTBALLING BRAIN, CREATIVITY, namely in midfield. I hope liverpool get battered from now on till the rest of the season so that Kenny and LFC fans will realise that a team is NOTHING without PACE. And it hurts me to say this as I too am a Liverpool fan. Rather than getting rid of LUCAS and KUYT , lfc give them a new deal, i mean… thats as bad as buying Carrick and Hargreaves for a combined £36m. Wake up kenny, its time you brought some players from reserve who have PACE and CREATIVITY. Sterling anyone?
