Arsenal Line Up £10m Defender

By on April 3, 2011

In the midst of Clichy’s potential contract feud, Arsenal have lined up 10 million pound rated defender, Everton’s very own England international left back Leighton Baines

The Daily Mail have once again mentioned that Arsenal are to make a transfer bid for the Everton defender in the summer, as they are still uncertain about whether French defender Gael Clichy is going to remain at the Emirates beyond this season.

The current Gunners left back is yet to commit himself to Arsenal for next season and Barcelona, Juventus and Real Madrid are reportedly ready to pounce. This is one that could become a bit tiresome with the Frenchman admitting he won’t open discussions on a new contract until the end of the season.

Arsene Wenger will definitely offer Everton £10m for Baines though, according to the Daily Mail, although Celtic’s Emilio Izaguirre is largely in the frame to be a potential back-up should David Moyes keep hold of the 26-year-old former Wigan man. Liverpool and Bayern Munich are the other two clubs mentioned as being keen admirers of the English International.

They need to buy van der Wiel to replace Sagna. Samba is a usefull player too.

Hazard is a nice player who’s in the picture, could replace Cesc in the worst scenario.

And the most important thing; there has to come a goalkeeper with experience, who can play for a few more years. Like Stekelenburg, the way he played on the World Cup, very impressive!
