TRANSFER NEWS: Manchester United Want £22m Marouane Fellaini

By on April 7, 2011

Man Utd are reported to be interested in bringing Everton’s £22m rated midfielder Marouane Fellaini to Old Trafford this summer. Fellaini is thought to be stalling on signing a new deal and David Moyes is becoming increasingly worried that the midfielder will look for a move, and United are monitoring the situation closely.

Everton are struggling financially and many big names have been linked with a move away from the club. With Leighton Baines and Jack Rodwell both very likely to leave the club when the window re-opens, Marouane Fellaini may be the next big-name to be heading out of Merseyside.

Manchester United are currently topping the list to sign the 23-year-old as Owen Hargreaves will most likely leave the Red Devils in the summer when his contract comes to an end after several seasons of injury problems. In fact, Sir Alex Ferguson has also been busy searching the transfer market due to the fact that his veteran midfielder Paul Scholes is set to retire soon.

Utter tripe with NO substance. Leighton Baines VERY likely to leave??? Based on what evidence exactly? Soley the fact that Everton are in debt. In which case please look at the figures of following clubs:-

    Net Debt
    Man Utd £716.1m
    Arsenal £297m
    Liverpool £261.7m
    West Ham £114.9m
    Fulham £164m
    Aston Villa £72.3m
    Sunderland £48.8m
    Bolton £58.4m

Figures as of 2010. Are all of these clubs going to flog their best players to balance the books?? I think not.

it depends on if the debt is gettin called in tho! think its a loads of !%@* anyway too. 22 mil for big mo?? Yeah and the rest, For me he’s the best talent we’ve got in ability now and future. Rodwell will never be as good!!!!!!!! Baines has been amazin this year, if i was united id be signin him up, he’s been better than evra this year. Hope we keep him tho. I thought pienaar n baines helped to make each other look good, but its baines who’s the class player, pienaar is just an average try hard!

The media like to speculate, and to be fair. Fellaini could be pushed out by his father. But to say Baines and Rodwell are going is utter nonsense.

I think we will sign him and possibly rodwell. I would prefer de rossi in all honesty, more experience. We have enough good young midfielders coming through, Paul Pogba is a special player.
I can see David Moyes calling it a day at the end of the season aswell. He looks even more miserable than usual lately.

Felliani has the ego to be a utd player. Carrick is a talented player but is crushed by the pressure of playin 4 utd. I think Afro Joe could handle it. He’s got presence.
