TRANSFER NEWS: Spurs To Battle Man Utd For £27m ‘Hulk’

By on April 11, 2011

Tottenham Hotspur are targeting Porto’s fearsome striker, Hulk, as they look to reinforce their attacking options.

Having had his bids for Luis Fabiano, Giuseppe Rossi and Sergio Aguerro turned down in January, Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp is now setting his sighs on Porto’s star attacker, Givaldinho Hulk.

Hulk has been in terrific form for FC Porto so far this season, scoring a total of 21 goals in 23 games and is valued at around £27 million by the Portuguese club. FC Porto have recently responded to interest in their 24-year-old by renegotiating his release clause up from £34million to £84million.

Brazil international Hulk has also been closly monitored by both Manchester United and Manchester City. Fergie is considering adding to his strike force this summer and Roberto Mancini is getting more and more busy looking for a replacement for Emmanuel Adebayor – who looks likely to leave the club for Real Madrid when the transfer window opens.

Not a prayer of us going anyowhere near this bloke at the prices quoted. Simply not worth that and we arent even in the market for a striker anyway as far as I can see and Fergie has stated hes happy with the striking department.

“Fergie is considering adding to his strike force this summer”.

Really???? Can you perhaps explain where you got this notion from? Rooney, Hernandez, Berbatov – you think there’s room for another £30m striker there do you?

we should offer them Robbie Keane and £25m and make this happen. the lack of buying that striker has given us grief in the CL now and we have lacked goals this season and struggling towards that 4th place. we have not found a replacement since berba left… this guy looks the biz
