Balotelli’s Diabolical Actions Sparked FA Cup Bust-Up

Following his team’s biggest win for nearly 30 years, Mario Balotelli marred it with more senseless behavior trying to provoke adverse reactions from Manchester United’s players. Known more for his childish antics off the field than his ability on it, Balotelli showed the world that he is not only a sore loser, but is also a trouble-making, classless winner.

When looking into the eye’s of the young Italian forward, anyone can see that there is not all that much going on, but when there is, there is a demonic sense to it.

Editor’s Note: There is no reference that makes any part of this article racist in any way, shape or form. To anyone who suggests otherwise, you should be ashamed of your mindless thoughts and your desperate attempt to create animosity amongst the other readers.

City deserved to celebrate their win that sealed their first appearance in a final since 1981, but clearly Balotelli took a step too far, and is why his manager, who is quickly losing patience him failed to comment on it. Roberto Mancini, who has had leaped to his defense on numerous occasions, is the only to blame, because he was the one that decided to spend 25 million to sign Balotelli from Inter Milan this past summer.

In the last month, Balotelli has disgraced City on and off the field. First, he got sent off for a dreadful karate kick, which led to the Citizens getting knocked out of the Europa League, and then he was fined two weeks wages for throwing darts at a couple of City’s youth players from a window.

With Carlos Tevez shelved on the sidelines with a hamstring injury, Balotelli was handed the start against United and it presented a chance to show his maturity. To be fair, the 20-year old showed just how good he can be with a stunning strike for 35-yards out that required a fine, one-handed save from Edwin van der Sar, but he ruined it with his shenanigans following the final whistle.

For obvious reasons, there is already an extra spice to the rivalry, and when that is coupled with the added significance of a place in the final on the line, anyone with common sense would have known that emotions were about to pop off with the tiniest of sparks. Based on the guilty, condescending look written all over his face, there is no question that Balotelli did something, however, if the scuttlebutt is true, then he should be saddled with an unprecedented ban.

Disgusting

The rumors that are currently circulating are that Balotelli took a page out of John Terry’s book, and spit on a United player, which is said to have kicked off the melee.

Seen as a happy-go-lucky type of player, Anderson is not the type of player to react in such a manner he did unless there was a justified reason to do so. To further prove that, there is no reason for Rio to jump to his teammate’s defense unless he saw something, himself. The United captain is normally a peacemaker rather than an instigator.

With all of the cameras on hand to shoot this highly-volatile FA Cup Semifinal, there should be footage of the incident. Mike Dean, who proved he is not very forgiving after sending Paul Scholes for an early bath for his studs-showing challenge, would have certainly taken the same course action with Balotelli if he saw the incident.

Reporting

It will be interesting to hear how Dean records this circumstance in his post match report, because that is how Wayne Rooney received a two-match ban which resulted him to miss this match. Lee Mason, the referee for Reds’ match against West Ham United, was forced to write that he would have sent Rooney off if he saw him swear in the camera, and hopefully the Football Association will take the same stance with Dean.

If the FA, which is headed by a former City chief executive, does not enforce it, they will definitely open themselves up for an unwanted controversy. The reason why there will be such a fuss, mainly from the United supporters, is that there has already been numerous shouts that there are double standards for the Reds and everyone else in the league.

However, there is a very good chance that there will not be a ban for Balotelli. Back in 2009, Ian Watmore, the FA’s Chief Executive, welcomed City’s big-money spending owners into the Barclays Premier League with open arms. That man, and his money-grubbing associates, have it against United and have done everything in their power to derail the Reds’ season with bans against Sir Alex Ferguson and Rooney, which worked out wonderfully on Saturday.

Mario Balotelli showed his true colors on Saturday, and they were not light blue of Manchester City, but the blue of spineless coward, and he deserves to have the book thrown at him.
