Arsenal: A Look At Gunners Transfer Target Eden Hazard

This post is for the many fans who are curious about all the hype surrounding a certain player by the name of Eden Hazard. I’ll get right to the point on this…. Eden Hazard is a 20 year old Belgian international who plays for French league leaders OSC Lille. He was known ever since he was 15, that he would become a top-class player and he duly made his debut a year later. Ever since he made his debut, he has turned into one of the best players in the French league and one of the best young players in the world. Eden can play as a winger, behind the strikers, in attacking midfielder, or even as a forward. Eden has incredible skills, poise, and talent especially for someone at such a young age. Even the great Zinedine Zidane once said, “that if I had the chance, I’d buy Hazard with my eyes closed.” That’s some praise from one of the all-time greats, he isn’t the only one drooling over this special talent, Arsene Wenger is one of his biggest admirers and has said on numerous occasions that he’s interested in him (rarely does Wenger ever talk so publicly about a player he’s interested in).

Hazard is a player you see every 20 years, yes, he is that good….. one of the only reasons why I tune in to watch the French league is to see him play. He’s a wonderful talent, he’s exceptional and exquisite with both feet and when he’s in the mood, he’s unstoppable as Liverpool found out in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final, where Hazard scored a brilliant free-kick and ran circles around their defence.

Hazard is a world-class talent and he will be a success to whichever team he goes to, he’s THAT good especially for someone so young with a long and successful career ahead of him. His only downside is that he can appear too cocky and too overconfident, he has been criticized because of that by his coach and opposition players. His attitude probably needs some adjustment, but he’s still very young and the reason for it is because he knows he’s an excellent player especially wit all the hype surrounding him, probably got him a bit carried away. Again though, he’s still young and still learning.

The question is from many Arsenal fans is do we splash the cash on him and is he worth the hype? My answer is if Hazard is available at the right price, then yes, why not? Hazard will become a great player if he continues at this rate and will be a great acquisition for the Gunnners, especially he’s a huge admirer of Arsenal and has expressed his interest in playing for the club. At his price, though, I don’t think Wenger should lose sleep over it because at the moment, his price is between 25-30 million pounds which I believe is a bit much right now. If Wenger, though, can negotiate a better price with Lille, then I would be delighted to see him play here at my beloved club.

With his price, though, I wouldn’t lose much sleep over him as there are good players out there who are available at less prices and I don’t think he should be Wenger’s or Arsenal’s main priority in the transfer market.

Cheers and take care everyone,
