TRANSFER NEWS: Spurs Line-up Summer Move For Striker Gyan

By on April 30, 2011

According to The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur are said to be the latest club to be considering a shock summer bid for Sunderland’s star striker Asamoah Gyan.

With Roman Pavlyuchenko and Robbie Keane both very likely to depart from White Hart Lane when the transfer window opens, Harry Redknapp has been busy looking for some replacements in the transfer market as he looks to strengthen his strikeforce.

Asamoah Gyan has been one of the top performers in Sunderland this season, with 10 goals and 3 assists to his name in a total of 19 starts. The 25-year-old is also the current leading scorer of the club, 3 goals more than Darren Bent.

With fellow Ghana teammates Sulley Muntari and John Mensah both set to leave at the end of their loan spells, the lonely Gyan will lose two of his good friends which might push him closer towards the exit door.
