TRANSFER NEWS: Man Utd Linked With Three Big Money Moves

By on May 2, 2011

With the summer transfer window just round the corner, Manchester United are being linked with hundreds of players. Here are just a few of the latest rumours…

‘Manchester United target Sneijder given £85m price tag’ is the headline that is reported by The People as they have added the potential salary of the Dutchman, that being around 10 million a year for 5 years.

What The People are trying to say is that the Glazers are unlikely to spend that amount of money so ‘that may leave the field clear for City’. Is Sneijder REALLY heading to the Premier League?

Udinese winger Alexis Sanchez has thrown his transfer to Manchester City in the balance after the Sunday Telegraph claimed that his representatives met with both Manchester clubs as Sir Alex Ferguson personally requested that United try to do a deal with the Chilean man.

The Italian club are resigned to losing Sanchez this summer and will receive around £26.5m for the player, who is said to prefer the move to the red side of Manchester.

The Sunday Telegraph describe this as ‘a severe blow to City, who regarded Sanchez as their key summer signing’.

Gary Cahill is apparently available for the mere price of 15 million pounds in the summer and it seems Roberto Mancini is as unconvinced by Joleon Lescott’s poor performances and will move for Cahill this summer (according to the News of the World, anyway) with Shaun Wright-Phillips said to be being offered as a makeweight in the deal.

People people, United fans – you dont need to sign big name players to win. Look at Hernandez as prime example. Combine youth with experience. You save money and they dont get too far ahead of themselves. Look at Messi, where the hell did he come from? Barca worked on him, trained him up to be a superstar. Nani is another. They need Good players cos we make them great in the end. Look at Keane, Cantona, Giggs, Scholesy, Ole gunnar, Yorke, Cole, the list goes on. Buy good people wth potential and work as a team. You cannot buy the premier league, if you could City would win it. I’ll admit i like Bale but anything over 30 million is a waste of money. Look at Torres, total waste of money.

just want to say if chealse do somehow win the league this season itll be becuase of the reffering decisions they have been given against manchester united and tootenham, the manu games liuz should have been sent off and had a penalty, and for the tootenham game 2 goals should not have been given.
about the transfer i hope sanchez tranfer is not just a rumor, his a really good player, but have to admit im not to sure about his finnishing and crossing in, and really hope that we get sniedjer.
plus bring pogba and morrison to the first team and get cleverley back and well have enought central quality players.

Sneijder is a world calss player and at 30 millon, that is a bargin. Try getting any of Barcas or Real MAdrid midfielder for only 30 millon. Buy him or buy bale.

yes buying him a couple of years ago would have been a better deal. but look at prices of the current top players. ronaldo and messi are over 80 million, kaka is around 50 million, bale is around 40 million. i know sneijder is no ronaldo or messi, but he would normally be rated around the same price as kaka. so yes 30 million is a bargin for one of the top attacking midfielders in teh game.

I think Ashley Young would be ideal for us. He is young, very quick and dribbles like a Giggsy in his prime. We also need a holding defending midfielder. The No 1 goalie is the hardest one. Hopefully its going to be De Gea, he’s more adgile and he’s a young lad with plenty of expirience.

Glory glory man utd, let’s get sneijder and mascherano, if we get those 2 no one will ever dominate our midfield no one. Then have Cahill in defense also a goal keeper. We do not have any serious prob. In either wing at least in one year time

If we sign a huge grossly obese goalkeeper he can fill the whole goal and we won’t need to worry.

    Plus Messi.
