Embarassed and Ashamed….what else is left ?

By on May 10, 2011

Was that the breaking point then? Was Sunday’s game at the Britannia the final straw? Will we see change in the club, for the upcoming season? After watching the Stoke game I was down, and I was depressed and its at that time this ‘sick’ feeling swept through me.

Are you ashamed to say that ‘I am a Gooner’? Well, I’ll be honest. After what I witnessed on Sunday I did feel that way, and today I don’t have any guilt residing in me. Its weird actually for us fans who support our club week in and week out to feel this way. I know it is hard for people to accept, but in my opinion what I felt was justified. My team did not perform, well, more importantly they did not try. Even if they tried and performed badly I would still feel alright.

For instance the game at Stamford Bridge this season witnessed us lose 2-0, but we tried. Sunday was a joke, a huge joke in front of the travelling fans and even worse to the fans in London and the world. Ashamed, and embarrassed to say that I am an Arsenal fan.

I will not stop supporting my club, no I am not so low to do that. Although I know a guy who did, and started supporting the about to be champions, I won’t. I am just disgusted and depressed about our performance. We play the same football, and now even teams like Stoke can read it…

Its actually becoming a sad situation at Arsenal Football Club. They say we play pretty football but even that is becoming something which opponents know we are going to do. So by default they prepare themselves accordingly. Arsenal play pretty football and yet its the same thing over and over again.

This summer will decide alot. What the future holds for our beloved club. If Wenger continues with his sh*t, we are going to get royally f**ked, and if he bends his policy even the slightest bit we have a realistic chance for the quadruple.

Any guesses on what he is going to do…

Guns-out,

Football is about winning. If you play
pretty football and end up trophyless what have done?. Does playing pretty football win trophies? Answer – NO!

It’s ridiculous to proclaim Barcelona- like footall when their cabinet is full and Arsenal’s have nothing.

Wenger is to rigid. In January, he was told to bolster the defence, Midfield and forward line, but he refused. If he wins two games in a row , he thinks he has what it takes, only the team to stumble in the third game with a minnow.
I was particularly happy to see Arsenal destroyed by the rugby team on Sunday,so as to show Wenger what he was told in January.
Sometimes,It’s better to listen to stakeholders even if you are the Manager.Former players, supporters have tried to expose the weakness but Wenger heard none of it.
I think this time around he will wake up and listen to everybody.

who told wenger to buy in janaray? no one that matters, only people who tell wenger to buy are the ones who got the money in the board room, and knowing arsenal like i do the board room will keep the purse strings tight.

NOTHING WILL CHANGE IN THE SUMMER.

    We’re not buying anyone.
Wenger has pledged not to improve the squad. He feels we already have enough depth and Kronke has said he wants to stay Loyal to the Wenger way.
According to Wenger we must have the best squad in the premiership if players like Niklas Bendter cant get a game ?!?!? No Arsene, we don’t play Bendtner because he’s sh1t.

we’ve been listening to the same old rubbish for the last 6 years.

these kids are now in their mid 20s, when do they mature into footballers.

the players will never moan because they are average players on quality wages. yes boss,no boss 3 bags full boss.

I’m totally ashamed to be a Gooner….. but it aint the team or management that make me ashamed it’s the fans!!!! WORST IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE!!! Been going to THOF now since 1986 and have not enjoyed a season less than this season but it because our home support is so woeful. Is it any wonder players don’t perform at home when they are always so worried about being booed!!!! I don’t call that support! It would be really nice if our fans actually SUPPORTED the team rather than just slag them off all the time. MAKES ME SICK!!!!! We need players to play without fear (tha is what our football is based on) but they cannot do this with the shere number of “tools” that now attend home games!

I was really so happy after the stoke result because now I hope that this would leave no choice for wenger but to buy this year.In fact if Aston villa and Fulham score a few more goals from set pieces I would be even more happy. Anyways our top 4 is assured, even I would say that top 3 is almost certain so poorer our defence in these 2 games better it is for next season

those who think that Samba is the anwser, well he is not ,why? because he is not fast, thats his negatif, and when you play agains the fastest like messi every champ, ligue and chicharito you better be fast

Now this sort of fan makes me proud to be a Gooner! I am not ashamed of the team but looking at the comments on here by other just proves my earlier points about us having THE WORST FANS IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE. You shouldn’t be ashamed to be Goooner’s you should be totally ashamed of yourselves!

Nobody seems to give Stoke enough credit for this match. They were in great form, just watch the 5-0 vs Bolton. Their discipline is tip top, there was no way a 2nd string squad, demoralized and bewildered by blatant cursed luck and unfair refereeing, can get anything from this match. But we cannot overlook the inflexibility of Wenger’s recent tactics and the lack of activity from the bench shows also lack of urgency.

although this has been a hugely disappointed arsenal fan.. i remain a fan. from this season i have learned to be a gracious loser. my boyfriend used to be an obnoxious man u fan. is there any other kind? however he was a sulky and poor loser. as a result he was kicked to the curb. as a sports fan period i know that while man u is riding a wave , they have to realise that good winning is just as important as gracious losing. i will not wish them well but i will hope for better from my team next season. with another sigh of disappointment i sign off , onot a reluctant fan, but a deflated fan……forever gunners

AW is the manager but sometimes he should accept advise. Stoke has exposed Arsenal defence totally, the so call diehard fans should know that once something is not right it worth mentioning not just being a diehard fan.Our players lack concerntration and thats why they can even give away a four goals lead. They are now mature but the winning mentality is not enough in them. Lets add some players who can bring the winning feelings in our squad then we will be there.
