TRANSFER NEWS: Kenny To Splash The Cash & Chelsea Lose Midfielder

With both the FA Cup and the Premier League done and dusted, we look ahead to next season with our daily transfer rumour column.

Zhirkov to leave Chelsea

Yuri Zhirkov hasn’t exactly made the start that he wanted to his Chelsea career, with the player struggling to force his way in to the Chelsea starting eleven. So it’s no surprise to hear him wanting to leave in the summer.

According to TalkSport, Spartak Moscow are intent on bringing him back to Russia and they are trying to pool together 12 million pounds for the potential deal. The Russian arrived in 2009 and is perhaps looking for greener pastures. Here’s some more info on the potential deal:

And reports in Russia claim Spartak are hoping to land him in a £12million summer raid and that talks have already been held with the general manager of the Russian club, Valeri Karpin.

Taarabt in, Joe Cole Out?

It appears that Joe Cole is going to be out of Anfield by the summer with Taarabt coming in as part exchange. QPR have made no secret of their interest in Joe Cole and Liverpool likewise with Taarabt.

So as Sportingo reports Liverpool are set to offer Joe Cole to QPR as a ‘deal sweetener’. Will this happen? It still remains to be seen.

Dalglish to have a lot of money to spend in the summer

A quick line here from The Sunday Mirror. The paper says that Kenny Dalglish will be given £50m to spend and that sum ‘will be swelled by any player sales, with Dalglish himself admitting that there will be departures from Anfield.’ The Good Times ahead at Anfield?

That’s it for today, be back tomorrow for more
