Arsenal Set To Make £12m Bid For Giant Centre Back

The Blackburn giant has again been linked with a move to Arsenal in a £12million move. Samba nearly moved to the Emirates in January, only for a move to collapse at the last minute, but a move could be back on reports the Guardian.

Arsenal have been linked with other central defenders, including Everton’s Phil Jagielka, Bolton star Gary Cahill and Mamadou Sakho of Paris Saint-Germain but Samba appears to be the cheaper alternative.

Samba has made his ambitions clear and the 27-year old said ‘I am at an age where I want to try to do something. You have only one career and it would be a shame not to make the best of it.’

12 million quid could be enough to entice the 6ft 4in monster to North London next year.

Samba has been in the PL for nearly 5 years now, if not Cahill of Jag its a no brainer. we dont need another untested just get rid of Djurou and bring in one of these three and were sorted at CB

Get rid of Djourou? Are you dumb? Best CB weve had all season.

tbh its not hard to be our best CB with Verminator out and 2 new CB to the PL. Djurou is an alright CB but he’s dumb (no positional awareness), quiet, not very good in the air and has no presence and has no dominance. all he has is recovery speed.

we cant win with CBs who wouldn’t even get on out rivals benches

Disagree on djourou, but would you really rate cahill and particularly jagielka over samba? I wouldn’t. Jagielka isn’t even big enough to signficantly improve our defence aerially, and always had this piss taken out of him by eduardo. Cahill I think is inconsistent and is one of those who seems to play better against arsenal – we need consistency and samba has that

Yes Sakho is good but he might not be good enough for EPL. Just look at Arshavin, he was very good before we brought him to London but just look at him now. Samba has been tested in EPL and we all know how good, reliable and dependable he is. Please Wenger bring him on. At least a positive start.

It’s more complcated than that – gallas was really good at chelsea, and for a season at arsenal, and he’s good again now he’s left, but was exposed over and over again after we changed our formation to 4-3-3. It’s not just the league that makes it difficult for our defenders.

No manager buys a player to just stick him in the team and start every game. Buying samba is a great deal as he is very proven in the league and he creates great competition in the team. If he did come then djourou knows that he has to work harder and cut out his mistakes cause samba wont make as many and he is solid.Samba i think is wengers first deal this summer. I wont be suprised anyway. When we played blackburn he was immense. he saved them the game.

    ——— Song – Fabregas
    Walcot —— RVP — Nasri

Lolest Arsenal Future Manager!! U even dare leave Jack the boy out of the line-up? You better tell us what you are smoking. He will always be the first name on our team sheet and in a couple of years our captain as well. His attitude and fighting spirit is second to none in our current squad

Vertonghen AT LB?? that would change the whole shape of the team and make us to slow on the left side which need more pace as it is. we would have to counter on the same side with the same pleyers every time which is too predictable and its nearly always the best Counter attacking side that wins the PL. (i say nearly because everyones been shit).

Stick with clichy and Gibbs but get in a Dominant powerful CB and a new defensive coach
