Why Liverpool Should Keep Hold Of Danny Pacheco

By on May 23, 2011

Well, I personally am a fan of developing youth instead of splashing the cash for big name players all of the time, so it’s going to be quite interesting for me to watch how the Pacheco-Ayala deals turn out.

We’ve got to assess what we need, and that includes the players who have been out on loan

Kenny Dalglish, Liverpool FC Manager.

I guess now the question is: Do we need Pacheco and Ayala at the club? I mean Ayala has been making putting in good displays during his time at Derby County, whilst Pacheco is also making use of his loan time out at Norwich City after joining them on emergency loan after the transfer window shut in January.

A lot are talking about Ayala’s future potential at Liverpool, and many feel he’s a great talent, but I think that it is Pacheco that is the better player here. Well, before you judge and make comments on my opinion, let me at least explain my choice.

Remember against Unirea Urziceni in the Europa League? Where he managed to grab an assist in that game? Remember that selfless header to give David N’gog a practically open goal? Well, that’s why we need him there, to set up goals, to provide the extra link between the midfielders and the strikers.

The kid offers goals as well. People keep talking about Daniel Ayala’s amazing displays at the heart of defence for Derby County. But what about Pacheco’s time at Norwich City? The fact is, although he’s so often being used as a sub at Norwich, he has still grabbed 2 goals and a couple of assists in his short time there.

So why waste a talent? Should Liverpool sell him too early, they might just regret it.

Sorry but its too late for Danny. He should have broken through into the first team by now. Sell him to Norwich where he was happy and will get regular football for the lads sake. We take the cash and move on. More tallent comming through,.

Dani’s still only 20 so he’s got time to break through and he’ll be good back up should Suarez be out injured, he’s a similar player – likes to drop deep to pick the ball up and run with it and can turn players, maybe not as quick but he’s the sort of player we need up front.
I was impressed with Ayala when he first broke through, not enough playing time halted his progress though but i’d be happy to welcome him back if he’s needed but with Agger, Soto, Kelly, Wilson all possible back ups at Centre back for Skrtel (who is one of only 2 players in the league to play every minute of every game this year) and Carra he’ll have a hard job getting in.

If Pechaco was going to break into the 1st team, he would have by npw (spearuing, flannigan, kelly et al)
He time has gone. Sorry Danny but if I where you i would go to Norwich.

King Kenny is guilty of favoritism here, he favours the English lads over him and that is so not cool, pacheco is a more gifted player than shelvey is but the skinny headed flop gets more playing time in a similar role, this manner of team selection is not good for lfc

pacheco is a bettre player than any of the players that have broken into the first team football, the expectations were much a striker playin alone upfront like torres, but now we have EL pisteleiro who plays and understands a similar game like lobato pacheco we should use him as sub 4 caroll for the dalglish pass and run pattern, plzzzzzzzz,am his fan and RED 4Life

If Saurez, Kuyt and Maxi combined well, then I cant understand why Pacheco cant do that… Only problem is we have not given him enough chance to play. He should be given a run in the team before we decide his time is past. Saurez has shown us that size is not that very important to lead the line in a premier league side
