Wenger Finds £25m Replacement For Nasri

By on May 23, 2011

As contract talks between Samir Nasri and Arsenal stumble, manager Arsene Wenger has been quick to identify a potential replacement reports the Mirror.

18-year old Bundesliga star Mario Gotze has been excellent this season, bagging 33 appearances, scoring 6 goals and assisting 15 for German club Borussia Dortmund.

The German starlet was referred to as “one of the best talents that we’ve ever had” by German FA technical director Matthias Sammer.

But, the German international star who already has 4 international appearances to his name would command a large transfer fee and could cost Arsenal up to £25million.

if nasri doesn’t sign, wenger will be forced to sell him rather than lose him on a free

I don’t think Wenger wants to sell Nasri and Nasri and his agent have said that they will sit down and talk to the management after the season is over. What I believe is that Wenger wants Nasri to stay but does not want him to leave on a free next year. So if talks don’t work, he will have no option but to sell Nasri.

julius is right, from what i heard the situation is the same with Clichy if he does not sign within next week will be sold. I do not want Samir to be sold as he now has experience in the prem and is regarded as one the best players in his position. Gotze mayb a great talent but we will just be going backwards signing an 18 year old again we cant do it! aa23 (if he stays), Theo and and 18 year old is just not good enough Arsene

please you only have to watch this kid to know how good he really is, Theo is nowhere near his abilities, this kid, played against the likes of Bayern and pulled an outstanding performance, these are the teams that rule the champions league, for all i care Nasri is not bigger than Arsenal, and we need players who actually know that

In ranking order, nasri should be our second or third best player. The problem is his refusal to sign another contract according to arsenal financial standards. We need him to stay but if he cannot respect us, he can go at a good price so that we can use the money to totally re-organize the team with super intakes.

first and foremost I want to congratulate Samir Nasri being a player play for Arsenal I love him we know how he play before and compare with is recent form, arsene wenger did a lot in him to change his style of play when he came to Arsenal, I know that Arsene wenger want him to stay but if refuse to stay let wenger go on for the huge amount and buy experience player so that the squad will be perfect.
Warning to Nasri: ask Hleb,Flamini even henry what about Aladierie in relegation (middlebrough) waht are they doing there. Nasri think twice stay at arsenal and enjoy your career you will be the world best soon.

Aliadiere was crap that’s why he got sold god knows how he made it in to Arsenal I’m just suprised. And Henry had a good season when he left Arsenal he won the Campions League & Spanish La Liga. He’s in his retiring years now like David Beckham and he’s decided to play comfortable less competitive football in America as European football is fast paced and can get tiring.

wenger should try everything possible to keep nasri.arsenal can not afford to be grooming players for other clubs. if we must get it wright we shldn’t be buying youngster, turn them to superstar only for them to move to other clubs. i call that “moving in circle”. clichy, sagna can leave bcos their is worst than just ‘poor’

in addition wenger shld bring in quality players and not players in the class of chamark, bendtner, vela, denilson, squlaci, this season arshavin, almunia,….these are not just the right quality needed in the red n white side of north LONDON. sagna and clichy needs a pre season training under united’santhonio valencia of how to deliver nice crosses. sorry no disrespect to them just speaking the truth.
