TRANSFER NEWS: Arsenal Sign Duo, 30m Striker Also Linked, Liverpool Keeper Update…

By on May 26, 2011

Here is some transfer news on Arsenal, Tottenham, Liverpool and Man City.

Arsenal Snap Up Barcelona Duo

It’s official, as Arsenal have penned a deal, or should I say ‘deals’ with La Masia graduates Jon Toral and Hector Bellerin, as announced by sources at Sky Sports News. Both on long term contracts lasting 5 years. They join the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Fran Merida and more recently, Ignasi Miquel. Barcelona offered both of them contracts at the Nou Camp, but both thought that England would serve their futures better.

Ironically, the long chase for the duo was completed whilst the Barcelona squad were preparing for the Champions League final…. at the Arsenal’s training ground.

Arsenal/Tottenham Aiming To Meet Falcao’s buy-out clause

Another one about Arsenal today, and it’s about Porto’s striker, Falcao. The striker wants to leave in the summer, and both Arsene Wenger and Harry Redknapp have taken a big interest in the forward whom has helped Porto to an incredible season under Villas-Boas. The buy-out clause is a whopping 30 million euros.

Both clubs are planning to offer €30million. We will talk with the club (Porto) quietly and consider any offer, but he (Falcao) is happy playing for Porto.

Liverpool Face Competition for Friedel

I don’t want to write about this, simply because I don’t want him at Anfield. But apparently they face competition from West Brom (yes, Hodgson’s new club) to sign the American goalkeeper.

Enough said?

Man City Edging Closer to Gary Cahill deal

Only a week or so since the Daily Mirror reported that Gary Cahill had told his mates that he wanted a ‘dream’ move to Arsenal, but now the paper is saying that:

‘Manchester City are closing in on a deal for Bolton’s England centre-half Gary Cahill in a hurry – with Nedum Onuoha a the key part of a £20million move’

Onuoha is being touted as a possible makeweight in the deal after spending last season on loan at Sunderland.

‘Bolton chief Owen Coyle is keen to take the player plus cash in exchange for Cahill. If the clubs can sort out the numbers, Cahill may even be cleared to speak to City this week.’

Will the move really happen? Not certain yet, but we’re just going to have to wait and see!

Is Nasri afraid of being left on the bench should Eden Hazard join Arsenal or is he waiting to see who Arsene brings in before making a full commitment.

How about making a BiG steal and take the entire team, coach and all Arsenal.

Nasri can go,he is not a big game player he gets lost on the field when it comes to big games.
Cesc is not bigger than the club he can go to.
    Take the funds buy Hazard,Adams,Falco
the goals will be rolling no one will notice they gone.

It`s been said many times by many Arsenal fans Cesc can add nothing more to the Gunners he has become stagnant and needs to go home.
Nasri, well, don`t bank on his loyalty he`s got the money bug. Manchester City seems a likely home.

Cesc doesn’t want to be here anymore. Let him go. Nasri was wasted out wide and stats show he was much mor effective when played in the middle. Wenger wont play him there because he will use Wiltshire and Ramsey. We need big, and I mean big and hard midfielders and defenders and a leader, something that has been sadly lacking.

Wenger has to outbid spurs for falcao. He would be perfect for arsenal, allowing RVP to play the “bergkamp” role.Falcao, would have something to prove in the premier league, making him fire on all cylinders…something that perhaps benzema wouldnt do.Im really hoping!!!!

Nasri shd be offered 100k and if he refuses he shd be allowed to go at a good price (£35M) after all he was not as fantastic towards the end of the season. With £35M we will buy a world class replacement and for fabregas he shd be allowed to go to barca at agood price. Since they will not be willing to pay us £50M, then they shd give us £25M + bojan + affeley. Come to think of it are u sure Barca really needs fabregas that much? I don’t think so. They are more interested in getting Rossi. What i feel we need is a good goal scorer (eto o, benzima, etc) a physically strong and aggressive. DM to put Song on his toes, he seems to be very comfortable these days and he is not improving on his game.. Then we need atleast 2 very good and tall defenders. I just pray that at the end of the day AW will not buy some unknown players and some 17year olds and he will tell us we now have a team as usual.
