Transfer News: Arsenal, Liverpool & Man City Latest…

Plenty of transfer gossip doing the rounds lately, here’s a round up:

Arsenal Waiting on Samir Nasri

It looks like the makings of two huge transfer sagas that Arsenal will have to deal with this summer, both star midfield players Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri. As it is still uncertain as to whether Nasri will sign a contract extension that will tie him to the Emirates for the next five years and the player has been strongly linked with a move to Man Utd.

Nasri has been offered a five-year deal in the region of £90,000-per-week – but is stalling on signing.

Gunners sources insist the club are confident the France forward will extend his stay at the Emirates. But Wenger does not want the contract stand-off to drag on much longer so that he has enough time to sign a replacement, namely Downing.

And the Frenchman has instructed the Gunners hierarchy to get a definitive answer

Liverpool to make move for Birmingham City defender

With Birmingham City relegated, Liverpool are looking to steal centerback Scott Dann. The Metro reports that the Birmingham City defender is a lifelong fan of the Merseyside club and would welcome the move after Birmingham were relegated to the Championship.

The Chase for Downing

Arsenal and Liverpool have stepped up their interest in Downing as he has declined a contract renewal offer by Aston Villa. So that’s an interesting one to watch.
