[TEAMS ANNOUNCED] Arsenal vs Boca: Gervinho, Fabianski & Nasri Start

Arsenal face Boca Juniors this afternoon in the first day of the Emirates Cup and Arsene Wenger has named his starting eleven. Fabianski starts in goal, while contract-rebel Nasri also starts along with new summer signing Gervinho. Vermaelen, Rosicky and Szscesny have been rested with tomorrow’s game with New York Red Bulls in mind.

Arsenal Team:

Fabianski, Jenkinson, Koscielny, Djourou, Traore, Frimpong, Wilshere, Nasri, Gervinho, Arshavin, Van Persie.

Subs: Sagna, Vela, Ramsey, Song, Squillaci, Mannone, Eboue, Gibbs, Chamakh, Afobe, Bartley.

    It’s about time Wenger became focused on bringing players into the team instead of being so blind to the fact that Fabregas/Nasri both want to leave. We need players to be brought in during this transfer window which is rapidly drawing to a close without him actually buying anyone apart from Gervinho & Jenkinson. What’s happened to the Mata, Cahill or Samba deals, forget Jagielka he’s too old for the money being asked. Anyway I see Spurs are being linked with a £22m bid for Mata. Come on Wenger get the checkbook out & do these deals asap

    not cesc but try to focus on nasri because he is our best winger so please wenger dont le nasri go away otherwise we will lose all three matches ahead of us in cluding the champions league qualification match against udinase.
