Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp remains positive his side can still land Real Madrid’s midfielder Lassana Diarra.
Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp remains positive his side can still land Real Madrid’s midfielder Lassana Diarra.
Redknapp is keen to work with Diarra again after he brought him to Fratton Park. However, Diarra claimed on Thursday that he was not expecting a deal to happen following suggestions Spurs are prepared to pay €12million (£10.6m). Speaking on Friday, Redknapp said:
“Things haven’t broken down,” said Redknapp. “There is still a good chance. The chairman is working on it.
“I signed him at Portsmouth and they sold him for £22million.
“He’s real talent, a fantastic player and it’s a real possibility still.”
