Terry Excited Despite Chelsea Missing Out On Modric

Chelsea captain John Terry is delighted with the new faces at that Andre Villas-Boas have added to the squad at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have brought in Juan Mata, Romelu Lukaku and the last-minute signing of Raul Meireles from Liverpool this summer and despite missing out on Tottenham’s Luka Modric, the defender is thrilled with the business the club has done.

“I was, it was very late,” he told Sky Sports News of the Meireles deal.

“He’s a very good player. Obviously Andre (Villas-Boas) has coached him before (at Porto). We missed out on (Luka) Modric but he plays a very similar role.

“I’m very excited with what’s happening and the players we’ve brought in so far at Chelsea. “
