Subotic Would Only Leave To A “Foreign Club”

By on September 6, 2011

Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United target Neven Subotic says he will only leave Borussia Dortmund for a foreign club.

The talented defender has been linked with the Premiership trio in the past but a move has never materialised. The Serbian international was heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in the summer but Arsene Wenger opted for my experience and signed Per Mertesacker instead, and Subotic says while he is happy at Dortmund he would only leave for a foreign club:

“There really isn’t any reason for me to leave this club. Dortmund is an amazing city.

“I will never switch clubs within Germany. If I move, it will be to a nice foreign club,” Subotic was quoted as saying by Bild.

Would rather take Hummels but wouldn’t complain if we got Subotic. Hummels makes Subotic look better than what he is. Also Hummels has taken Mertesackers place in the Germany team…..

Subotic is interesting, I have watched his videos. He is 6ft3. He is known for being fearless with his head, and scores with it often in the box. He is also good at taking free kicks. He would be my first choice to replace Terry at Chelsea. Cahill is second.

Mertescker still has 75 caps to his name, lets not call him total crap.

But while he is a very good CB, Subotic is just as good but has a higher ceiling and could be a great one a la Vidic.

Mertesacker is a cerebral player, Subotic like Vidic can hurt you.

Pay what you have to for this lad, he is player to biult your defense against.

When Serbia beat Germany in the 2010 WC, Serbia had Vidic, Kolarov and Ivanovic on defense and I was impressed by Subotic (is that the best international defence?) and saw quite a bit of german football beacuse of work.

You dont break the bank for a Mertesacker, Cahill or Jagielka or Jones.
    You absolutely do for Subotic.
