By on September 9, 2011

Rennes coach Frederic Antonetti admits midfielder Yann M’Vila is likely to move on next summer, but feels the player could well play for Barcelona.

The powerful defensive midfielder was heavily linked with a move away from the club during the summer, with Arsenal thought to have had a bid rejected on transfer deadline day.

Many feel Arsene Wenger will return with a fresh bid either in January or in teh summer, and Antonetti conceeded that M’Villa is likely to move on but feels the star would fit in well at Barcelona. He told L’Equipe:

“With us he will be able to keep fresh and will be well prepared for Euro 2012 as well.

“Then he will take flight and will go very high in the game because there are very few players like him.

“If he continues the way he is going, he could end up playing in front of the Barca defence.”
