TRANSFER NEWS: Bayern To Launch January Swoop For Chelsea Star

By on September 19, 2011

Bayern Munich are preparing a bid for Chelsea winger Florent Malouda, according to reports.

The French ace was expected to move on this summer following the arrival of Juan Mata but a transfer never materialised.

Mata has already made an immediate impact at Stamford Bridge, with a number of impressive displays for the west London outfit, and Bayern are preparing a January move for Malouda who is deemed surplus to requirements at Chelsea.

However, despite the speculation Andre Villa-Boas has spoken publicly about the 31-year old and insists Malouda still features in his plans at Chelsea. Despite Villas-Boas vote of confidence it’s believed Chelsea would sell the player if a good offer comes in for him.
