Ferguson: Pogba To Remain With United

Burnley boss Eddie Howe could be left frustrated in his pursuit of Manchester United youngster Paul Pogba.

Burnley boss Eddie Howe could be left frustrated in his pursuit of Manchester United youngster Paul Pogba.

The highly-rated teenager has been linked with a move to Turf Moor on loan, but his manager at Old Trafford, Sir Alex Ferguson, believes it would be better for the promising Frenchman to stay in Manchester for now.

‘It’s more difficult to loan a boy of 18 who’s come from France,’ Ferguson told the Lancashire Telegraph.

‘We prefer to keep him with us until we find he’s mature enough to possibly go on loan.

‘Maybe next year that could be an option but we’re definitely expecting him this season to stay with Manchester United.’

Pogba came on at half time during United’s 3-0 win over Leeds Utd in the Carling Cup last night.
