[VIDEO] Man Utd Fans Show Sickening ‘Istanbul’ Banner At Elland Road

By on September 22, 2011

Man Utd fans displayed a sickening ‘Istanbul’ banner to taunt rival Leeds supports at Elland Road during Tuesday’s 0-3 Carling Cup victory. The banner was in reference to the 2 Leeds fans who were killed in the city in 2000. Leeds fans were not innocent bystanders either on a shameful night, as they chanted ‘Munich’ related song’s towards United supports as they entered the stadium and throughout the match.

Quite simply, the scum of the earth..pre-meditated and planned, before any offense song had been sung by either sets of supporters…didn’t show it outside mind, like the rest of them, cowarding behind police and running away like scared children when confronted. Sad thing to is the majority of that away end weren’t even from Manchester, you could tell when they were singing. Disgrace.

So you can identify from 3000 singing fans that they weren’t from M/cr?! Your lot are so innocent aren’t they?! The banner was out of order agreed and when you came to our place the other season you were at it with the Munich songs like every other time we have played you. I worked in Leeds for 13 years and got the old munich chants most days at work…people in glass houses….

United fans certainly don’t “sit” anywhere near where their tickets suggest. There’s a reason United’s away support is the best in the country, and it’s nothing to do with “football-talk.co.uk” and it’s mock outrage over almost anything that might upset a single person.

The Leeds fans did not sing the aeroplane song as you suggest. Each time a few idiots tried to get it going they were shut up by the majority. Neither did I hear anyone singing it going in or out of the ground. We couldn’t see that flag from the North Stand (Kop) and funny enough, for the best so called away supporters, hardly any of them were wearing colours. Look at the video recording. Now when we travel we don’t hide that way so maybe we are the best away fans. And on that, we could see you were singing although we couldn’t hear you so much better support than at your Salford graveyard which we livened up in the FA cup.

You were chanting Munich and making the plane gestures so take your blinkers off!! For years we’ve had Munich chants from various teams Leeds included. Not nice is it?!

Guess you weren’t there then The Kop did not sing the Aeroplane song and MI is right not only could you not see the banner from the Kop we also could not hear any away chants as regards blinkers I think we all know who wears them and it seems strange that Man u fans don’t sit in their alloted seats. Is this beacuse they think they can do what they like. Need to re-visit that one don’t we.

ps: Escellennt flare you guys are real hard core – NOT

JT are you for real? Yes it was a premeditated and despicable gesture and you could have just left it at that but to go on about the united fans not being from Manchester because of the way you “heard” them is sad. Grow up and stop trying to hide behind your cyber hoolie facade
