Mateo Kovacic admits he is flattered with the speculation linking him to the likes of Manchester United, Juventus and Arsenal but the 17-year old is happy in Croatia.

The talented playmaker made his debut for Dinamo Zagreb at just 16 and is has been touted as the next Luka Modric. Despite the interest from some of Europe’s elite, the youngster is happy to remain at Zagreb:

“There are many talks, every footballer is dreaming of playing for one of the best clubs in the world but I’m not really bothered what is going on in press,” he told SportskeNovosti.

“There are many rumours, but I’m happy to stay at Dinamo.

“I’m still young and I still have to learn before I will be ready to move on.

“It is nice to see your name linked with clubs such as Juventus and Manchester United, but I’m quite calm. My time will come sooner or later.”

Kovacic was found at just 13 years old and despite interest from VfB Stuttgart, Ajax, Juventus and Bayern Munich the Austrian opted for the Croatian outfit.
