Arsene Wenger Questions His Potential Replacement

Arsene Wenger admits the club would not benefit if they decided to part with his services.

Arsene Wenger claims the club would not benefit if they decided to part with his services.

The Frenchman has been heavily criticised this season after a torrid start to the new campaign, with some questioning his coaching ability as well as his ability to attract the calibre of players to maintain a title challenge. Despite some calling for Wenger to be axed, the Gunners boss admits the club would find it difficult to find a suitable replacement.

“I never complained about the criticism I had, I can completely understand,” Wenger told arsenal.com. “I am responsible for the results, I take that and I say that always.

“When you sack your manager you have to look for somebody else and he will lose games too. After a while it is not so easy to find managers.

“I can tell you because I know so many clubs who look for people and I can understand why we get the sack. But you look at clubs who change their manager every six months, they do not go further.”

Despite a poor start, the Gunners got back to a winning ways with a win against Bolton at the weekend.
