TRANSFER NEWS: Chelsea Battle Milan For £15m Madrid Ace

By on September 29, 2011

Chelsea have joined the race to sign Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, according to reports.

The German international is out of favour at the Bernabeu and the Blues have identified the combative midfielder as a replacement for injury prone Michael Essien.

German sources say Khedira is on shaky ground at Real following his red card earlier this month and being criticised by coach Jose Mourinho on several occasions.

Khedira is valued at around £15m, but if Chelsea do follow up their interest they may face competition from Italian giants AC Milan who are also keeping tabs on the 24-year old as they look to bolster their aging squad.

let that be a lesson to Hazard, remember that Arsenal will welcome you as a STAR. Real, like another money-spinning-shirt-seller-flavour-of-the-month. Until they get bored and you spend the next 9 months of the season warming their already impressive bench. Just as AW wanted Khedira and then he had his head turned by Z-Zidane and opted for them. Waste of a talented footballer. When will players learn Real don’t treat players with respect- Robben, VDV, Drenthe the list of enourmous wasted (at Real Madrid) talent goes on…
