TRANSFER NEWS: Striker Says Move Is “Impossible”

By on September 30, 2011

Chelsea star Didier Drogba has distanced himself from a move away from Stamford Bridge amid rumours Bayern Munich are monitoring his situation.

The Ivorian has linked with a move away from west London next summer, with the striker’s contract coming to an end in July. Drogba was linked to AC Milan and Tottenham in the summer, but recent reports have linked the 33-year old to German giants Bayern Munich.

However, Drogba was quick to refute any suggestions he is on the verge of joining another club, citing it’s difficult to settle at a club at this stage in his career.

“I believe the rumours were unnecessary,” said the Ivorian.

“At my age, it’s next to impossible to start again at a new club.”
