Agent Confirm’s Wenger Tried To Sign Eden Hazard & Hints At Future Move

The agent of Lille star Eden Hazard has admitted his client will be ready for a move next summer, and hinted that Real Madrid could be his next destination.

The Belgium international is highly regarded in Ligue 1, with the likes of Liverpool, Real Madrid and Arsenal chasing the gifted winger.

Speculation has been mounting that Real Madrid where favourites to land the 20-year old, with Director of Football Zinedine Zidane keen to land Hazard and making personal calls to persuade him his future lies at Madrid, but his agent insists the presence of the French legend will not dictate his move next summer.

Bico also confirmed Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger tried to sign Hazard in the summer but was knocked back his current club:

“He has shown from the beginning of the season that he is able to play for any of the big clubs, including Real Madrid,” representative John Bico told Mirror Football.

“Eden has matured in every aspect. Perhaps next summer will be the moment to leave in search of the biggest challenge.

“Arsene Wenger wanted the player but Lille said no to the sale last summer. It’s certain that Real Madrid have been watching.

“I don’t think [Zinedine] Zidane’s presence will necessarily decide things. Zidane has always praised him but that, on its own, will not be sufficient,” he concluded.
